HELLO! So maybe by now you're intrigued as to how I've managed to get so much stuff for so little. One of my secrets is how I roll my UPs from one transaction to another (using UPs to pay for items that will produce more ups!)
Getting UPs take a little bit of an initial investment, you have to buy something that is going to give you an UP before you can start rolling them. I started off by buying 1 Colgate Toothpaste that was on sale for 2.99, and producing a $2 UP Reward. I used a $1 off any colgate coupon to pay $1.99 for the first one since I didn't have any UPs. After I paid, I got a $2 UP reward on my receipt, and used it along with another $1 off colgate coupon to get another one for free. I did 6 transactions, and left with a $2 UP reward to use next time.
NOTE: UPs typically expire two weeks from the date you receive them.
I don't remember exactly how I used that $2 UP reward, but I'll use two of the products featured on this blog to show you how you can roll your UPs into other transactions.
Earlier, GE Twisty Lightbulbs were on sale for $2.99, get a $2 UP. (Featured In This Post)
If you only had $2 in UPs, and used a 50 cent Video Value coupon from Rite Aid's website for watching a video, then you only had to spend 49 cents out of your pocket for a light bulb that is worth very much more.
Then, you turn around, use that $2 UP reward and a B1G1 Free coupon on the Axe Body Spray which is 4.50 for $2, get a $3 UP reward back. Use your $2 UP, pay $2.50, get a $3 UP reward back. In this scenario, you've only spent $3 and got an energy saving light bulbs and two axe body sprays. You've saved $8.99 on merchandise, and left with $3 in UPs.. that's one more than you came with, along with your merch!
As far as I can tell, the UP rewards work the same as Walgreen's Register Rewards and CVS's Extra Care Bucks (ECB)
So now you have an idea on how to roll your ups into other transactions by using coupons combined with your current UP rewards. Maybe you'll turn out like me, and you can't get enough, you just can't get enough!
