I choose to support Rite Aid the most because they are usually the most friendly when it comes to me using coupons and doing multiple transactions to get the best deals that I can. You'll find that a good portion of all my posts will come from Rite Aid. If you live in Monticello, I believe you'll have a better chance of getting great deals than I do. Bowling Green is full of couponers who get up a lot earlier than I do. When I'm in Monticello on Sunday morning, there's not usually a rush of people to get into Rite aid.
On January 30th, Rite Aid had 4OZ Colgate Total on sale for 2.99, and receive a $2UP Reward on your receipt. In the AD for that week, it was described as "It's Like Paying 99 cents!"
In the January 9th Newspaper, there was a coupon for $1 off any colgate total 4oz or more. (I had 6 Qs)
January 30th, 9AM, off I go to Rite Aid, to do 6 different transactions. This was my first real coupon trip.
Transaction 1:
1 Colgate Total 4OZ
2.99 - $1 Coupon = 1.99 (2.17 w/ tax)
Received $2 UP Reward
Transaction 2:
1 Colgate Total 4OZ
2.99 - $2 UP - $1 Coupon = .17 of tax
Received $2 UP Reward
I repeated the above transaction 4 more times, paying only tax on the remaining bottles, and left with a $2 UP Reward to use on a future purchase.
This was the start of my Stockpile.
