Today was a big day! Doesn't look like a lot, but when it's broken down, it's clear to see the savings!
This was done via two transactions, and got kinda complicated because I forgot to use 4 $1 coupons on the lightbulbs. I'mma break it down for you.

I earned LOTS of ups from this transaction. Rite Aid is also having their anniversary promotion going on, and if you buy $100 of selected items, you get a $20 UP back. Then, for every $50 you spent on the selected items, you'll get a $10 UP back. This comes into play a lot today. ALSO I forgot to use my $1 off GE Bulb Manufacturer Coupon, and I get to put $4 towards my second transaction.

BUTTTTTTT I forgot to use my $1 off GE Bulb Manufacturer coupons! Thats $4 in UPS I wouldn't have had to use! Dammit! However, Rite Aid can enter coupons and give you the cash back that you would have saved. I used that $4 in transaction 2 in place of the UPS I would have used.
I noticed I was $9 away from my last $10 up for the Anniversary Promotion, and the lightbulbs are a part of the anniversary promotion, so I went back in and purchased 4 more lightbulbs, a mt dew, and 4 newspapers.

In my previous post, I mentioned that I was hoping for a typo on the coupon previews, and that there would be a $2 off Nivea Body Wash. Unfortunately, there was not. There was a coupon for $2 off Body Lotion 8.4-16oz, and a $2 off 13.4oz body lotion. I was wondering WHY there would be a coupon for the 13.4oz which is covered in the other coupon? Anyway, no body wash for me today! Super sad, I only have like 10 left.
Note: I spent a little more out of pocket because I am also starting fresh today. I have no coupons from previous inserts, only coupons from today's paper and tomorrow I will use some from the internet.

Just got my BG DAILY NEWS and there were three smart source inserts, as well as two red plum! If you haven't couponed before, today would be a good day to start your coupon collection. There's going to be LOTS of clipping when I get home from work!
If you're just starting out, don't forget you'll need a zipped three ring binder and some baseball card holders to sort them out. I got all mine from amazon for cheap!
Have you ever tried MIO? It supposedly makes 24 servings, but I like my water to taste like fruit punch, not like someone dropped a single drop flavoring into my drink and I can barely tell it's not plain water. HOWEVER, when you use an additional amount, it's pretty good. 0 Calories, 0 fat, 0 sodium, 0 carbs, 0 sugar! Retail at Kroger is $4.09!
This week at Big Lots, we got a shipment in for $1! The best deal I've ever seen on a MIO was a sale for $3 and there was a $1 coupon out for it. Why am I telling you this? I got it when it was on sale because I have not been able to get it that cheap that easy. Now I haven't had to coupon for laundry detergent for months. Would I buy some if I came across a great deal? Absolutely! I'll need more eventually! I bought what I needed, when I didn't need it, and I'm using it now!
So follow this blog for some regular updates about deals I see at BIG LOTS (Yes BIG LOTS! Just no coupons!) WAGS, RITE AID, KROGER, and WALMART! Don't expect much from Wal-Mart though, I'd rather eat my own foot than go in there. Only if there's something I absolutely cannot pass up on will I go in there.
