In my posts, you'll see me refer to an UP Reward, Register Reward, or Extra Care Buck. These are pretty much coupons printed on your receipt for a specific amount off your next order. These typically include everything except gift cards, prepaid credit cards, alcohol, and prescriptions.
These rewards typically expire two weeks from the date they are earned.
At first I was worried about the store losing a lot of money on my transactions, and I didn't want to hurt Rite Aid. I had heard they were not doing so well, and many of my friends work at the one here in Bowling Green. However, they are paid for by the manufacturer who's item you bought that produced the reward. The store gets reimbursed for everything. They even get an average of 8 cents per coupon used from the manufacturer as a 'handling fee.'
